Shelves: 1930s-modernism, z-female-authors, american, a-audiobook, north-of-mexico, 1-pulizer-winners, 1-nobel-winners

This was a beautifully written, fairytale-like story. Although the tale itself was predictable, the way it was told was masterful. I enjoy reading about other cultures from times gone by, and of traditional peasant lifestyles.
