I happened to be reading this at the same time I was reading The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It . This turned out to be an interesting coincidence, because Godin references the Gerber book. Actually he seems to indicate E-Myth as an example of modern commerce de-humanizing works.
