This ancient Sufi text from Iraq has a clear, dramatic eloquence that captures the whole challenge of human relations with animals. It is perfect for reading aloud, and excellent for generating conversation. I wish all parents could read and discuss this book with their children. It's that fruitful in raising the issues of right living, and for seeing ourselves as other creatures see us.
