It's kinda the same as the first book. although, there's more thrill to it because Sophie and Josh's powers have been awakened. They engage in fast-paced battles, finally. and Sophie learns the element: fire. truly riveting.

amazing,one of the best...
The Magician was a pretty good read. I was excited to read it after finishing the Alchemyst, but was a little disappointed. I enjoyed most of the book, but I would have to say it was a little disappointing, boring and I would have to say this was one of my least favorite books of the series. But, I enjoyed most of the book, and it was good enough that I still enjoyed reading it and it kept me on reading the entire series.
After reading (actually, listening to) two books in the series, I am hooked. But the next Audible.com book costs 2 credits instead of one, so I'll have to wait a month to get the next one.
