Mate, what a bloody ripper. This American translation was on point. The apathetic interior of our stranger was strangely familiar to my own. His reasoning when in court about feeling sidelined and mitigated is, at least to me, a beautiful way of challenging the very basis if universal truths like justice. His eruption at the priest was so natural, so human, that you can't help but admire the lad. He really is just a stranger, walking through life in a way that makes sense to him.
