What Members Thought
I was amazed how quickly I read through this book. This is my first exposure to Toni Morrison and both the size and the subject matter intimidated me quite a bit, but once I got into the story, I couldn't stop reading. I think the combination of Morrison's flawed yet compelling characters combined with her engrossing and powerful prose hooked me until I couldn't quite reading. Regardless, this is an amazing book that is well-worth all the praise it has received over the years.
