Even better the second time around. Recommend to anyone who appreciates morally gray characters, violence, superheroes (but really super villains, amirite?), exceptional character development, and also perfect writing.
Second time reading this and HOT DAMN. Apparently I forgot how this book ends cause holy shit that ending! I’ve never read a book that can bounce between time and locations so fluidly. It really makes the story! Now I want to reread Schwab’s Shades of Magic series. I’m am DYING for Vengeful!

I was in a bad slump and this baby saved me. I almost cried twice. There is suicidal attempts murder shootings stabbings and torture a little so if you're triggered by any of those I don't recommend this book. But until then it has an amazing story and Theory on situations and I absolutely loved it.
