I love the relationships between husbands and wives in this series (and in all Card's books, actually). It is such a beautiful example of women being valued as equal but with a different divine roll in a marriage. I found these fictional accounts of historical figures very comforting and helped me to understand my role as a woman in the gospel, as a support to my husband as a priesthood holder and as his eternal companion.
