This is a great book with well-developed characters. Although there seemed, on a whole, a lacking to me in the story, the writing and subject matter were very interesting.
I think the main lack I felt was the struggle to overcome the apocolyptic time. The Fringe focuses more on the everyday lives of people, who in one way or another come into contact.
