It was a good story but it wasn't great. I think its because so much of the story was expected. He expanded on the details after Ender defeated the Buggers and before getting to Lusitania. It also ties up some of the left over threads from the Shadow books. I am glad to have read the book.

Great book, I really love how well it fit in between the two books. And OSC's explanation of the very minute details that did conflict. He didn't try to come up with some unbelievable story to make minutia fit together, he simply gave two justifications 1) If this were non-fiction and written as history by historians there would be discrepancies 2) He wrote the other books a long while ago and has since grown as an author and story teller, he was wrong then and right now. It was okay....started pretty good, but then characters that were developed were done away with as Ender travels to different places...there was never any steady plot to the entire novel which just confused me as to what I was reading. I think this book was just meant to tie up lose ends and make all the other books make more sense, but that makes it a random book..hope Speaker for the Dead is better.
