What Members Thought

Though the first portion of the book seems borderline absurd by painting such an unbelievably savage world, the story eventually explains itself and how the genius Julian "Bean" Delphiki came to be. I'm a very open minded reader when it comes to fiction. As long as an author hooks me with good plot, characters, and coherent execution, I'm all in.
That being said, the book truly was an enjoyable read. It explored more details of Battle School than "Ender's Game" ever did, and I quite enjoyed Bean' ...more

Ender's Shadow gave me a greater understanding of Ender's Game. Even though you don't have to read Ender's Game to understand Ender's Game, I recommend it.
