Though the first portion of the book seems borderline absurd by painting such an unbelievably savage world, the story eventually explains itself and how the genius Julian "Bean" Delphiki came to be. I'm a very open minded reader when it comes to fiction. As long as an author hooks me with good plot, characters, and coherent execution, I'm all in.

Enders Shadow was another amazing book by Orson Scott Card. It was almost, if not as, good as Enders Game. It follows the same storyline as Enders Game, only this time it is being written in Bean's perspective. Bean was a character often mentioned in Enders Game, he was one of Wiggin's close friends who helped defeat the buggers in the third invasion. WOW. I love this book (perhaps even more than I love Ender's Game)! I fell is love with Bean's character and his backstory. You find out some pretty incredible things about this kid who was mainly in the background in Ender's Game.
