I had put off reading this book for so long because I had heard so many terrible things about how it didn’t match up to “Ender’s Game” and how it ruins the previous book. I felt none of those things while reading them. Yes, it is quite confusing in the beginning since there are so many new characters along with the difference in traveling in light-years while others age naturally.

Ender's Game seemed a fluke, but Speaker for the Dead proves to me that Orson Scott Card, as any good drill instructor, has the ability to rip apart ones soul, rebuild it, squash, and build it again with hope.
The entirety of Ender's Saga has me giddy for the story in a way not felt since childhood and the anticipation to read Xenocide is unbearable. ...more
