A classic for good reason. I'm sure there are many out there who would find some of the thoughts in this book to be very outdated and the pacing of the story to be much too slow, but I thought all of it added to the charm. This was a book with lots of heart. This book had a profound influence on me as a young girl. I wanted to be Jo (who wouldn't?) because she was not all girly (neither was I) and she wrote stories (I wonder what happened to those books I started?).

LOVE. I can't seem to stop reading this book! It has replaced Jane Eyre in my purse. Meg, Jo, Amy, Beth, Laurie, and Marmee come with me where ever I go. Theres a bit of my personality in each of the girls. I feel rumpled for their hurt pride, sad for their loss, excited for their joy. It may not be for everyone, but it's just my taste. ...more
