A Boston mother struggles with raising four daughters while her husband is away during the Civil War. Sure it's a classic but it's still a great read today.

Absolutely a classic. I was one of those students who actually enjoyed reading for school. I was lucky enough to read this in High School. The movie was also excellent.

Loved this book. It read really fast for me for the first half and then it seemed to take me a long time to finish. However I loved it.
