Like a long, school summer holiday that you just don't want to end.
It's a pity there are no further adventures and other volumes as I could read this stuff for ever.
4 stars because Huck Finn is better but this is still the stuff of legend, which I hope reflects just how good Huck Finn's adventures is. ...more

A "must-read" classic. Twain was certainly very good at spotting hypocrisy and offering scathing criticism. This was certainly more of a children's novel than Huckleberry Finn - and is the story of the perfect boyhood. ...more

Gorgeous book! I adore both Tom and Huck, and delight in their adventures. Mark Twain is magical, he is one of my favourite authors of all time :)
