I’m not sure why it took me so long to read Jules Verne. Around the World in 80 Days is cracking fun. It’s got a lot of things I like including:
✅ travel-story action
✅ nonstop adventure
✅ unexpected perils
✅ daring escapades
✅ unforeseen circumstances
✅ inventive problem solving
The characters are likeable if not completely convincing. The hero, Phileas Fogg, is a wealthy eccentric gentleman whose life in London is about as interesting as a metronome, yet on an idle bet he sets off to prove it’s poss
