What a fabulous book by an amazing author. Eliot skillfully weaves the tales of love and marriage of the different characters in the vicinity of the town of Middlemarch. Eliot is particularly adept at writing conversations between various participants so that the characters appear believable. Probably one of my favorite books.
This was a very long and tedious reading assignment for me, yet I did find places that I enjoyed very much. I am happy to have crossed it off my to-read list, glad to have read it, but I don't think it will ever find a place in my favorites, nor will I choose to read it again.

The best ever.
I am impressed with Eliot’s insights and wisdom.
