1/5. A couple expect to adopt an orphan boy - not an impetuous red-headed girl.
2/5. The Cuthberts send the feisty girl off to school, but trouble lies ahead.

I just feel in love with a new book. I really enjoyed reading this book. It made me laugh and cry. What a wonderful book to remember those childhood summers and laugh at such a funny heroine. Anne was such a great character and watching her grow from a flighty young girl to a remarkable, sophisticated young woman was such a treat. Now I must read the rest of the series.
At the beggining it was a little boring but towards the end it became interesting but very sad, especially when one of the main characters and a favorite of Anne dies.
Over all it was a good book.
