This 20th century classic is both a satiric fable and a warning. Orwell is still relevant today with his insights into political power and the dangers that can occur. He wrote with passion and sharp understanding of the dangers of his day and the dangers that might still be with us into the future. Change can bee good, but it can also result in a cruel circe of change that takes us right back where we started. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. This is a biting commentary on social injustice. The utopia as propounded by communists, but that never existed. All are equal, but in reality all are not equal. These concepts could not have been well described as it was in this story. Needless to say, this is a brilliant piece of writing.
