This was a very interesting book to read. While it's a satire of Stalin's behavior after the Russian Revolution, I couldn't help but see similar storylines all over the world, both in government and business. Sadly, we live in a world where the quest for power causes an "elite" few to use propaganda, misinformation, and exploitation to control the uneducated masses. While Orwell was able to analyze the problem with totalitarianism and with where his beloved socialism had ended, he did not appear to see any solution to the problem of the human (and sinful) desire to lord it over others.
