This book has a myriad of characters and it took a while for me to develop familiarity with them and then the book settled into a nice rhythm. I don’t know how historically accurate it is, but it was fascinating hearing Tolstoy’s analysis of the inner workings of the war through his psychological view of inevitability and the lack of any one person’s ability to change events.

I have many thoughts on this whopper of a book & will need a few days to mull it over before I can draft a proper review.
