A good classic, a nice, clean family book. Some violence among the animals, but nature does tend to be violent. I thought it was funny that in the introduction by the author, Adams says he never intended for the book to be an allegory or metaphor in any way, but just a bedtime story for his kids. And now they teach it in schools--finding all the metaphors and allegorical meaning they can. But I suppose we read for what we get out of something, not necessarily what the author intended.

This was such a fun book. It made the rabbits seem human almost, searching for a new home, fighting battles with other rabbits, etc. Many lessons of faithfulness and friendship here, as well as thoughts on how to be a good leader. Lots to think about ... or just a cute story of bunnies! Truly enjoyable.
