It is no wonder that this book has been around for so long. I really enjoyed how R.C. evolved over the course of the book. It was neat to see how he solved situations with common sense and was able to greatly improve his time on the island with luck and thought. I enjoyed this book, but hope that they have a large print version next time I read it!
I am so sad that it took me until now to read this book. It was excellent. The first few chapters were slow for me but then I could'nt put it down. I wanted to give a quote here but there were just to many. I love how he found God on the Island and the things he learned can be applied to us today.

I think the abridged version is much better - it was so overly detailed that it took all of the adventure out of it.
