It's a nice story. The idea of exploring, how a rapid increase of IQ may affect a retarded human being, is great. Even more pity that the realization of this idea was far from great. At the beginning everything was consequential, Keyes depicted the main character, Charlie, quite vividly. But at some point of story Charlie just got substituted by a completely different person. I simply loved this book. The cruelties that Charlie faces before the experiment just cut my heart. Becoming a mother changes you in myriads of ways.
