My favorite story to discuss at the start of a creative writing course. Endless craft discussion possibilities.
One of my all time favorite short stories. And it was read aloud to me (and other people in the lower East Side NYC coffee house) by the author himself.
To be honest, I liked some stories better than others, but the ones I liked are astonishingly good. There are haunting, in-depth descriptions of a dog attack and a bullet entering a man's brain. Need I write more?
