Alafair Burke's latest release, The Wife, is a domestic suspense which is part police procedural and part legal thriller and revolves around issues like secrets, deceptions, kidnapping and murder.

Alafair Burke is a must read author for me each year and I’m rarely disappointed, The Wife was no exception. The mark of a great story in my mind is one where I don’t see the ending coming but does not seem so out of nowhere that it doesn’t track with the character’s personality, prior actions and the rest of the story and I found that to definitely be the case here.

Although the ending was slightly frustrating! ...more
