From barren Rocks to Living Stones is the true story of a British teenager caught in the midst of the conflict and terrorism of Aden (Yemen) in the 1960's, and the British evacuation from there in 1967. I am writing from my own experiences in the situation, giving my personal insight of how the international political decisions were to impact upon the ordinary people. However, it is not written as a dry history book of statistics etc, but as a story, my story, that is full of incidents in this 18 month memoire set in the Middle East.
