This story is another that opens your eyes to the world beyond our own wonderful world. It tells of a young girl whose family was forced to sell their own child into slavery to save themselves - such desperation is unimaginable to most of us. How lucky we are. It tells of child prostitution, trafficking and the lives these poor children lead. How this can be allowed to happen to anyone anywhere is beyond belief. Truly it makes you want to do something to save them.

I am really conflicted about this book. It was so graphic and heartwrenching. I am sorry I read it because of the images in conjured up in my head and those images will never escape my memory. The blue notebook was as amazing read... the writing was fantastic! Tough topic, quite graphic and very compelling. Overall very sad book! However this book has inspired many people I know to help in the area of child trafficing...[myself incuded!:] The writer has such a way of using metaphors to tell such a difficult story... Bravo
