This book....just wow. For one, it's abnormal for me to be completely enthralled in nonfiction, but I absolutely could not put this book down. While I was interested in the peripheral cases Stevenson outlined, I was mostly turning pages to find out what happened to Walter. The emotional rollercoaster that I was on made this book a difficult read - but oh so important. Strong 4.5 stars. Stevenson is an amazing man and a skilled writer who smoothly weaves multiple non-fiction accounts, social commentary, and statistics into a very compelling story. I couldn't help being angered by the injustices he describes. Very emotional read.
