It wasn't bad, but quite superficial in a way.
The writing was pleasant, with the exception of some too-modern expressions (this is a pet hate for me, though).
The main character, Cerys, was likeable and relatable, although the amount of times she said to herself "I'm just a gardener's daughter, I don't know what to do" was a bit irritating.
The atmosphere was spooky and suspenseful at times, which was very well done, I thought.
