Notes:

Good start to a new series. Narration was great! Except for the butchered Korean words. That was bad. Mixed feelings about the story & overall plot progression. I'll re-read this one and dive into the sequel when the audiobook is published.

Murderhobo done right

Pretty much as the subject says. Well written murderhobo attempting to balance massacres with morality. Interesting addition of Korean food in there

Is this like a future earth kind of deal or is this an alternate world that is simply like the Earth. This book had me confused on that part. It is an awesome book regardless. Lars really can't catch a break he always is getting into some sort of trouble and Ophelia is always going kill, kill, kill. Is that play on the idea that women are always pushing guys to kill things? ...more

Great mix of two genres.

LitRPG meets Cultivation and it is done very well. At times a satire on cultivation, Dean delivers an almost philosophical book and the temptations of power, peer pressure, and addiction.

How far would you go to save those you love, and at the end of it all would you still recognize yourself? Dean writes a murderhobo very well and very believably. Jumping right into the next one.

Great story with fun character progression. If you like an OP MC this is right up your alley.

The slaughter obsessed Ophelia did get super old at times.

Would have like to see more skills and development other than just skyrocketing stats and the one knife hand skill.
