In a shocking twist, I like the main character. I like the story line. I like the supporting characters. It is insanity!
Max was a modern Earth soldier and when he died, he was given the option to fade away, join the warriors of Asgard and prepare for Ragnarok, or be reborn on a fantasy world. I mean, who wouldn't choose option 3?

Dave Willmarth is one of my favorite authors. Consistent quality writing and storytelling! Max is fast becoming over powered and the story is original.

Really enjoyed this.
I have enjoyed most of Dave Willmarth books. This book brought a lot of what I like from his other stories. But I think this also went a different direction that I liked. The monster races being good characters was awesome to see. And he has always given what I think is a good representation of the dwarfs to life. I look forward to the next book! Thank you.

Very enjoyable.
There were some parts in the middle that really slogged along but overall this was a great story. Good action, world, system, base building, and characters. Looking forward to more!

I just couldn't get back into this one after the kingdom building turn. Too many shades of Greystone Chronicles. May come back to this later.
