Mini-Review ~ LitRPG

5 Stars for Narration by Nick Podehl! I love the way he narrates the series. This is my new fav work by NP.

I read/listened to all the books that are out in the series. Whew! I'm so sad that I am caught up!!!

Upon reflection, I love the 1st and 6th book of the series! They are super!

The writing could be a little smoother. All of the books could use another wave or two of editing to catch all errors and ma

This is one of the more interesting LitRPG concepts. I greatly enjoyed reading the story without the underlying..."I wish I could go back to Earth" comments that are the standard for these books.

A great main character! Horrible rage issues and bad personal decisions, but a fun read because of it.

The best compliment I can give, is that I will definitely be picking up the next book in the series!

I’ve read this book before, and the second time through I still think the concept is fantastic and the system highly detailed, proving the work that the author put into it. However, the MC is a child masquerading as an adult, with the emotional range of my two-year-old but with more developmental issues. If you want to know how you get stories of the Greek gods, this is how. You assign super abilities to children, and call them older than what they are.

Tao Wong has constructed a masterful world,

The book was ok - not my favorite, but still fun. However, the author has since chosen to attempt to trademark the term “System apocalypse”. The idea that “System Apocalypse” should be reserved for this series is preposterous. It’s a term that predates Wong’s books by at least a couple of years and never should have been trademarked in the first place.

I will not be reading any more of Wong’s works and suspect that this may end up being a phrryhic victory for the author in the end.
