Almost A Critical Success

The characters and idea behind Critical Failures is a fun one, and well written. I legitimately hated Cooper, felt bad for Julian, and annoyed at Katherine - the author did an excellent job writing real personalities for their characters. The world building is minimalistic, but fits the setting and does the job for the story. The major issue with this book was the central plot and pacing. The book itself is really good. I absolutely loved all of Robert Bevan's works, however the author himself is a reprehensible human being. If a person has the temerity to correct him when he goes on one of his frequent half informed political rants on facebook or even just disagrees with him in general, Bevan will resort to all manner of name calling and foul language... and then ban them.
