5 stars. This was amazing and it is a hard hitting that really resonated with me. These are some important topics and don't let the fact that this is a suspense novel fool you. Slaughter is a new favorite author and I will be reading everything she has written. Review to come.

I debated giving this book a higher rating but there were just a few places where the pace seemed to really slow down. If the pacing had been a bit more consistent it could have easily been a 5 Star read.

This book was cray-cray. Be forewarned that this book has some very violent scenes. If that's something that you are sensitive to this may not be the book for you. I enjoy reading thriller and horror and this had elements of both so I really was able to enjoy it. I do, however, think that the story ran a little bit longer than needed to.
