I'll admit I was a little worried when I started this book about whether it would live up to expectations I built in my head. I even re-read the previous 5 books the month before (and I'm really glad I did - there was so much I forgot over the years). I stayed up until 1:30AM to finish it in the dark with my paperwhite and a box of tissues.

The final MI installment was about the struggle to do the right thing even it's not the best/easiest thing. All of the characters are dealing with good vs evil within them, asking such questions as are they willing to sacrifice for love, who can they trust. It also sets up nicely for the future. We are left with many holes from stories of past, and how everything that has happened, happened for a reason-most of the time things from the past that literally came back to haunt them.

After all this time, I felt like I needed a series re read before I touched the last one.
And it feels like this book could've been shorter. I mean , ALL the Emma stuff felt kind of superfluous to me.
Like preparing the fans for the new series or something.
Anyway, the series is over and everyone (the characters) ended where the fans wanted them to be.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the long book and the happy endings! However, I don't know if I'll read the
next series. Maybe I'll give it a chance..... ...more
