What Members Thought
This is the 5th book in the Mortal Instruments series, and the action and suspense does not disappoint. However, it is actually quite irritating that in each book, Jace and Clary almost but not quite get together, or they do and SOMETHING must tear them apart again. I understand the whole "will they, or won't they" attempt to keep the reader guessing, but it just seems that, to have it repeatedly drag itself over 5+ books is overkill. City of Lost Souls blew me away. It had everything - action, romance and humor. I laughed, I teared up, I stayed up way too late reading. The Mortal Instruments is by far my favorite YA series for a reason. Clare just has a way of bringing all kinds of emotions and events in at just the right moment in a story.
