I did my third 'read' of this in audio. Renee Raudman, who is the reader for all of the Andrews' book does a great job as usual of bringing the story to life. The Costco scene was especially great. My only hitch was that her performance of Sean didn't quite fit what I had in my head From my previous two passes through the story. Still the story is just add great as it was when I was haunting the authors' blog for every new installment.

I loved this new series by the Andrews writing team, a cross between paranormal and sci-fi with a generous dose of humour thrown into the mix.

Highly unique with excellent world building. It took some time to warm up to Sean. I got to know more about Sean than Arland. I liked Dina right away. IA has a way to really make their female characters shine.
Lots going on and the mystery is solved. I liked the idea of supernaturals being from other planets. Open-ended for more books.

I'm not a big fan of Ilona Andrews (yes, you can boo and kill me later..) BUT.. this was kind of fresh and fun.
I will probably read the next one. ...more

Can't wait for book 2, hope there's more Dina and Sean moments.
