Well, that was fun.
I love that Mercy is a mechanic, knows the rules well enough to break them on purpose, doesn't make stupid decisions, is strong-willed and feisty, and has the great friendships of someone who cares about people. She seems like a woman I would be friends with. If, you know, she was real.
The story was complex and entertaining, and the reader is tossed into a world where rules about weres, vampires, shifters and fae are rolled out organically and don't get in the way of the plot. ...more

Finally finished! I think next time, I will forego the audio version. The narrator - Lorelei King - did not do it for me - and it was a kind of torture listening to her. Mainly that's the reason it took me this long to get through this novel. Otherwise, I liked the premise but didn't love it. Still deciding if I want to check out the next book.
