Outstanding intro to Kate and Curran. It's a complicated world, h and H and strong characters, playful and deadly. Fantastic writing, the story just pulls you in. Devoured this and every book in the series. Everything this couple write is 5 super stars.

I finally gave in and got on the Kate Daniels' bandwagon and it was totally worth it. I'm not a huge fan of UF but I really enjoy Ilona Andrews' writing style, their heroes and heroines, and stories. I'm pretty sure that there is more Kate Daniels in my future... perhaps Santa will bring me a set of new books. ;)

Actually more of a 4.5 but...
I don't care for UF as a general rule. There are many reasons - the first person POV puts you in the head of the lead character and entirely too many of them are dingbats. Many authors think a UF isn't complete without a love triangle (couple that with a dingbat lead and you get an angstfest), and sometimes I find it harder to suspend disbelief in a UF than a PNR, but that one's is just me.
