What Members Thought
I loved this book. Not great literature perhaps but a very beautiful picture of life for women in 17th century Persia (Iran). The characters she builds, particularly the narrator, come alive and I couldn't stop thinking about the characters in the book - a great sign of a terrific book. I had to look up more about the carpets they made as her descriptions were so compelling. To be fair, I listened to the book as narrated by Shohreh Aghdashloo.
