This was one of the most amazing books I've read in some time. Morrison framed Pecola's very painful existence in such a poetic way I could not put this book down. While I could relate to and feel bad for Pecola, I also felt for her abusers. The abusive cycles portrayed in the book, make it hard to really blame any of the characters for their actions. I really haven't sorted out my feelings about it but I wanted to write something about what I was thinking immediately after finishing the book. ...more
