This book, I think it's the hardest of all the Vampire Academy book series to read. It has very dark in parts. But I loved it!
This is the most intense storyline in the whole book series. In the first book Rose and Dimitri had a conversation about their wishes if they were ever turned Strigoi. Both said they would not want to live like that, they both feel they've made a promise to kill the other one if that happens to them.
This book starts about three weeks after the end of Frostbite.

Wow. Finished this one quite fast. And I loved every second of reading it. Off to book 5. :D
I love how much this series has improved. The stakes (pun not intended) are raised in this installment, and Rose has developed so much as a character. This is also the best friendship story of the series thus far, because we really see how much Rose will do for Lissa and how difficult it is.
