This one was so much better than the second one. I am so excited to talk about this one in the next live show. I definitely felt a change in Rose. She was so much more grown up in this book despite her bad moods. I feel like we delved into her relationship with Lisa more and Christian became more of a well rounded character. I have some thoughts on the Dimitri/Rose scenes that I will save for the live show though ;)

Reread 2023

The first time I read this book I was heartbroken. Now I knew what was going to happen and I'm still heartbroken. It wasn't as perfect as the first time. Reading this as an adult made me realize how flaw Rose and Dimitri's relationship is and how Rose and Lissa's friendship is not much of a friendship in this installment. This book. Wow! I can't tell you all that happens, this book changes everything. Have Blood Promise and maybe even Spirit Bound on hand to start as soon as you finish this one. The next three books will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Rose and Dimitri are well written and we root for them, we want to find a way for them to be together. But he is Lissa's guardian and after her graduation from St. Vladimir Academy Rose expects to be Lissa's guardian too. Who would they guard if a threat present ...more
