Before I even started to read “The Adventures of Willy & Nilly”, I flipped through it and was quickly drawn to the illustrations. Then, when I’d finished the story, I went back and studied the illustrations again. Each page has a unique blend of what looks like water colors and computer generated images. I imagine that if I was this captivated by the pages, that there’s no doubt youngsters will be fascinated by the drawings as well.

It's no secret that I am a fan of children's books. Unlike the sometimes depressingly morbid stories that are regularly churned out for adult readers, children's literature occupy a wonderful space for the curious and wide-eyed reader. The Adventures of Willy and Nilly fits the bill nicely. I, like the children who this book is written for, enjoy an innocent romp. And a wonderful romp it is!
