We don’t have enough art to make us see and prize these human murmurations, even when they are all around us, even when they are going the most important t work on Earth.

A diverse and thoughtful collection of anecdote-driven essays covering not just feminism but also race, the environment and social justice more generally. Full of highly quotable, pithy one-liners, with a tendency towards the metaphorical – often evocative and only occasionally ambiguous. This book would make a good (highly readable) “American Social Justice 101” type of introduction to many current issues and movements.
