What Members Thought
Although I enjoyed most of this - good Audible narration - with great settings and characters, I have problems with cliff-hanger endings. There were unexpected elements to the ending - clever twists, yes. But I hesitate from reading Book 2 when I know that Book 3 is the end.

I really wanted to like this book. There's nothing about it I don't like, but I just don't connect with it.
There are other books I picked up before wanting to pick this one up again - although when I did it was easy to remember who was whom and what was going on, so it isn't an overly complex story - at least no more than usual. The characters and the set-up are distinctive enough to warrant all the praise heaped on it, but for me something was missing.
