I've recently discovered that my ancestors lived in The Channel Islands so I was intrigued to read this book. Not only did I get a real sense of the island, I fell in love with the characters. This book shows the fortitude, generosity, strength and determination of the people during the German occupation of Guernsey. I highly recommend this book. ...more
