This is a reread. When I first read Anne's diary, I was in Junior High School. At that time, all I knew was that she wrote about her WWII experiences. I didn't understand the cultural significance of it all yet. But now, looking back, I realized just how impactful the diary was. Anne was so mature beyond her age. She saw beauty in everything! She wrote about things that truly brought out the horrors of World War II.
